Three Key Learnings from Amazon unboxed in NYC

Amazon DSP is already available to both advertisers who sell on Amazon and those who don't, with a self-service and managed service option, usually for companies with big budgets. Amazon announced Sponsored Display, sister of DSP :) for brands that don't sell on Amazon. This is currently offered to U.S. advertisers (beta) on Twitch, so still very niche. Sounds like they are focusing on service-based industries like restaurants and hotels. From speaking with an Amazonian who managed a national fast food chain, sounds like a hybrid approach - self vs. managed service option to target smaller service-based companies or at least introduce them to the Amazon ecosystem. I thought this was timely since we know that Facebook advertising is losing steam.

- Creator studio is relatively new, giving advertisers a way to create videos.
- Sponsored Brand Video to become available at top of search (announced at unboxed).
- Video is also available for Sponsored Brand Video in category pages (exist) and Sponsored Display Video is relatively new. I'm guessing, Amazon Posts soon?
Amazon Advertising was very basic back when I started 8 years ago, and now... its all about ads and ad distribution/placement. Don't see this slowing anytime soon with Thursday Night Football, instore ads and other on/off Amazon events.
